How the events page works
Groups use Going or Not to plan nights out: someone pastes an event link, everyone votes Yes, Maybe or No. The events page lists public events those groups said Yes or Maybe to, so others can find them too.
What's shown — and what never is
- Only events that are already public: single event pages on sites like RA, Shotgun, DICE, ADE, Paradiso and Melkweg, and posts by venues and promoters.
- Only what the event's own page says (name, date, time, place, its picture), checked again regularly. Nothing anyone typed.
- Interest only as the order of events. Never names, groups, vote counts or who voted.
- The order is updated a little while after votes come in, not instantly.
- Every event links to its own page for tickets and details.
For groups
- Groups take part by default; the person who made the group can switch it off in ⚙︎ on the group page.
- Anyone in a group can keep a single plan off this page from the plan's ⋯ menu.
- Only votes cast after a group starts taking part count, and only once the group is a few days old.
Something wrong?
Each event has a “Something wrong?” link. Reporting hides it straight away until it's checked.
